What is it?
Angus Reid Forum is an online community of adults living in Canada who have been provided with a forum to voice their opinions. Members answer questions by completing short, easy, and interesting surveys on a variety of topics and issues.
Who Manages It?
The community and this site is managed by Angus Reid Forum Inc.
What Profile Information Is Collected From Me?
Upon registration, we'll collect your contact details including name, email, and a bit of information about you. In subsequent surveys, we'll ask for some additional demographic information on items such as income, education, household composition and a few others.
Collecting this information will help us ensure we have a wide range of members that represent the true Canadian population, and enable us to invite you to surveys that matter most to you.
How Do I Update My Profile?
To update your profile, simply login to your account. Once you are signed in, you can navigate to 'My Profile' to update information about you and your household.
To update your name or email address, please click on the 'My Account' button located at the top of the screen.

How Often Will I Receive Survey Invitations?
You can expect to receive at least one 'paid' survey per month, as well as a variety of 'fun' sweepstakes surveys. The 'fun' surveys won't take more than 5 minutes to complete for a chance to win gift certificates from Amazon.ca. The longer, 'paid' surveys you complete will earn you points redeemable for online rewards.
How Can I Find Surveys?
If you are invited to participate in a survey, we will always send you an invitation via email. You can also check to see which surveys you've been invited to by logging into your account on angusreidforum.com and navigating to the 'My Surveys' area on your member dashboard.
How Do You Decide What To Award For Each Survey?
You may receive a sweepstakes entry for some of the shorter 'fun' surveys, and for the longer 'paid' surveys you will receive points. Factors that determine how many points are awarded for each survey include length, topic and/or complexity.
I Clicked On A Survey Link From My Email Invitation, But Cannot Connect To The Survey. What Should I Do?
It is possible that the link is spread across two or more lines of email. Try copying and pasting the full link into your browser's address bar.
I'm Having Trouble/Technical Difficulties Taking A Survey. What Should I Do?
Please contact email@example.com and provide details on what you are having difficulties with. Our support team will respond as soon as possible to assist you.
Why Do Some Surveys End Early, Or I'm Not Allowed To Complete Them?
Some surveys are looking for specific types of people with certain characteristics. Other times, we've reached the maximum number of participants within a certain demographic, which helps ensure we have representative answers to the population of interest.
Even if you do not qualify to continue on in a survey, we still appreciate your effort. In some cases, a partial point credit may be awarded.
How Do Points Work?
All active members will obtain an Angus Reid Forum points account in which you will be eligible to earn points from completing some of the surveys you are invited to participate in. Each time you complete a longer "paid" survey your account will be updated and credited. The number of points received for each survey may vary and will be announced prior to each survey.
How Can I Check My Points Balance?
To check your points balance, login to your account at angusreidforum.com and navigate to the 'My Points' area on your member dashboard.
How Can I Redeem My Points?
When your account reaches the point equivalent of $25 (i.e. 2500 points) you may redeem your points. Redeeming points in amounts less than $25 is not permitted.
Do My Points Expire?
Points never expire as long as you continue to be an active member of the Angus Reid Forum and as long as the points program remains in effect. However, if you unsubscribe from the Angus Reid Forum or if your membership is terminated, your points account will be closed and all points will be forfeited.
What Contests Do You Have And When Are They Used?
We may have contests that are specific to a survey. Contest details & rules will be provided within the survey invitation when you are invited to participate.
How Are Winners Notified?
Winners will be notified via email within 48 hours of a relevant draw. Selected entrants will be required to acknowledge by email, receipt of notification of eligibility for prize and to arrange for a mutually convenient day and time to administer a time limited mathematical skill-testing question. If no response is obtained within 7 days of notification of the relevant draw, the prize(s) will be forfeited and may be awarded to an alternate winner(s) in a random draw selected by computer from the remaining eligible entries. Prize(s) will be delivered by mail within 60 days of correctly answering the mathematical skill-testing question and upon receipt of a signed waiver.
